Ireland’s residential property price inflation slowed in September to the lowest level in seventeen months, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday.

Property prices surged 8.9 percent year-over-year in September, but slower than August’s 9.5 percent climb. In July, prices had risen 9.4 percent.

The latest rate of growth was the weakest since April 2014, when prices grew 8.5 percent.

On a monthly basis, house prices rose at a slower pace of 1.3 percent in September, following a 2.3 percent increase in the prior month. It was the seventh month of rise in a row.

In the capital region Dublin, property prices climbed 6.5 percent annually and went up 0.9 percent monthly in September.
