The Council of Ministers has condemned the terrorist attacks in Kuwait France Tunisia and Egypt over the past few days.

At its weekly meeting chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Monday night the Cabinet said that the incidents were against Islamic principles according to a statement released by Culture and Information Minister Adel Al-Toraifi.

Al-Toraifi said the Kingdom deplored the attack in Egypt on Monday that saw the country’s top prosecutor Hisham Barakat killed; and the assault on the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Kuwait by a Saudi citizen which saw 27 killed and 277 injured.

He said the ministers also condemned the attacks in Tunisia and France and had sent their condolences to the people and governments of all the countries affected.

The Cabinet slammed continued acts of violence directed toward Muslims in Myanmar including killings kidnapping forced evacuation from their homes barring them from traveling and denial of food and health care.

Meanwhile Al-Toraifi said that the Cabinet had decided to change the name of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities to the ‘General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage.’
