Hourly wages in Italy showed no variations in August, after rising slightly in the previous two months, figures from the statistical office Istat showed Friday.
Contractual hourly wages remained unchanged in August, after rising 0.1 percent each in June and July.
On an annual basis, wages grew at a stable pace of 1.2 percent in August. In June, hourly wages had risen 1.1 percent.
Among the main macro sectors, wages in the private sector grew 1.7 percent, while wages in the public sector remained flat.
In the January to August period, total average hourly earnings increased 1.1 percent compared with the corresponding period last year.
