Italy’s economy grew for the third consecutive quarter during the three months to September, latest figures from ISTAT confirmed Tuesday.

Gross domestic product grew 0.2 percent from the second quarter, when the economy expanded 0.3 percent. The preliminary estimate from November 13 was thus left unchanged.

Consumption rose 0.4 percent, while investments declined 0.4 percent. Imports grew 0.5 percent, while exports decreased 0.8 percent.

Year-on-year, GDP increased 0.8 percent in the September quarter following 0.6 percent in the previous three months. The annual growth figure was revised down from 0.9 percent.
