Italy’s inflation remained stable at 0.1 percent as initially estimated in December, final data published by Istat showed Friday.

Month-on-month, consumer prices showed no variation after easing 0.4 percent in November.

The EU measure of inflation, the harmonized index of consumer prices gained 0.1 percent annually, slightly slower than a 0.2 percent rise seen in November. The HICP declined 0.1 percent from previous month.

Both consumer and harmonized consumer price figures came in line with the flash estimate released on January 5.

In 2015, consumer price inflation slowed for the third consecutive year. It eased to 0.1 percent from 0.2 percent in 2014. Excluding energy and unprocessed food, core inflation held steady at 0.7 percent.
