Italy’s producer prices continued its downward trend in October, the statistical office Istat showed Monday.

Producer prices declined 2.9 percent on a yearly basis, but slower than September’s 3.1 percent fall.

In domestic market, prices plunged 3.5 percent and by 0.8 percent on non-domestic market.

Month-on-month, producer prices fell 0.1 percent in October after decreasing 0.3 percent in the previous month. Prices have been falling since June.

Producer prices dropped 0.1 percent each on domestic and non-domestic market.
