Italy’s producer prices declined at a slower pace in January, the statistical office Istat said Monday.
Producer prices fell 2.5 percent annually, after easing 3.2 percent a month ago. This was the smallest annual decline in six months.
Month-on-month, producer prices dropped 0.7 percent in January following a 0.6 percent decrease in December. Prices have been falling for eight straight months.
The index of producer price decreased 0.8 percent on domestic market and fell by 0.4 percent on non-domestic market.
