The M2 money stock in Japan was up 3.6 percent on year in October, the Bank of Japan said on Wednesday, worth 911.0 trillion yen.
That was shy of estimates for an increase of 3.8 percent, which would have been unchanged from September.
The M3 money stock advanced 2.9 percent to 1,227.5 trillion yen – also beneath forecasts for 3.1 percent, which would have been unchanged.
The L money stock gained an annual 3.9 percent to 1,623.3 trillion yen, slowing from the 4.2 percent jump in the previous month.
