JetSmarter The ‘Uber of Private Jets’ Raises $26.1-M
This follows a $20-M Series B round in July
JetSmarter, dubbed the Uber of private jets, has raised $26.1-M from its exiting Series B investors, including the Saudi Royal Family.
This follows a $20-M Series B round in July 2015.
The company said it had grown throughout North America, the Middle East and Europe over the last 6 months and was providing 52% more flight options.
Over the last Quarter, M-M downloads of the JetSmarter application increased by 240% and its member base grew by by 135%, the company said. It 35,000 passengers last year.
“Our enhanced and expanded product offerings since our last raise have proven to be very successful, resulting in additional investments,” said founder and CEO Sergey Petrossov. “With strategy in place for continuous technology upgrades, increases in global penetration and additional services offered, JetSmarter will empower more people to fly private. This new capital will further enable our rapid and tactical growth.”
He said that the airline had begun flights between Riyadh and Dubai in December and was planning to start services in Hong Kong in April and Moscow early next year.
