June private employment data from ADP
– Prior was +173K (revised to 168K)
ADP isn’t the most reliable indicator but it’s another slice of evidence that the drop in May non-farm payrolls was a statistical problem, not an economic one. Yesterday’s ISM non-manufacturing index had the highest point jump since 2008 and there has been no data to confirm any sharp drop in the economy.
