Kylie Jenner, Zendaya For Marie Claire’s “Fresh Faces”
Hailey Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Ellie Goulding also made the cut.
For its 3rd annual May “Fresh Faces” issue, Marie Claire has pegged It-teen Kylie Jenner as an “up-and-coming” one to watch.
While Ms. Jenner’s inclusion is only surprising in that she is still considered a “rising” star rather than one that’s already secured her spot in the fickle world of celebrity fame, Marie Claire’s other “Fresh Face” selections Hailey Baldwin, who just signed with IMG, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who starred alongside Will Smith in Concussion are in fact relatively new, emerging talents that are sure to make their mark in the coming year.
In addition to garnering her 1st major American magazine cover with Marie Claire, Ms. Baldwin also got another iconic American job as the face of Tommy Hilfiger’s ’90s Tommy Jeans capsule, in which she stars alongside Lucky Blue Smith. Mbatha-Raw will dip into the mainstream next spring as Plumette in the live action remake of Beauty in the Beast, which stars Emma Watson as Belle.
Rounding out the Y 2016 class are Zendaya and Ellie Goulding, each have made a splash on the Hollywood scene.
