Latvia’s industrial production growth accelerated in November, after easing in the previous three months, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed Monday.

Industrial production advanced a calendar-adjusted 4.3 percent year-over-year in November, faster than the 1.7 percent gain in October. The index has been rising since March 2015.

Production in the manufacturing sector grew 3.8 percent in November from a year ago and electricity and gas supply output surged by 7.6 percent. At the same time, mining and quarrying production plunged 8.5 percent.

On a monthly basis, industrial production edged up 0.2 percent in November, reversing a 0.3 percent fall in the prior month. It was the first increase in four months.
