Latvia’s producer prices declined for the sixth straight month in June, figures from the Central Statistical Bureau showed Tuesday.
The producer price index dropped 0.3 percent year-over-year in June, faster than previous months’s 0.1 percent slight decrease.
In April, prices had fallen 0.6 percent. Prices have been falling since January this year.
Prices in the manufacturing sector dipped 0.8 percent in June from a year ago, while mining and quarrying prices rose by 4.1 percent.
Domestic market prices slid 0.5 percent annually in June and prices in the foreign market showed no variations.
Month-on-month, producer prices climbed 0.4 percent in June, after staying flat in the preceding month. It was the first increase in five months.
