Lithuania’s EU measure of inflation declined at a slower pace in May, figures from the Statistics Lithuania showed Tuesday.
The harmonized index of consumer prices declined 0.1 percent on an annual basis in May, compared to a 0.6 percent drop in the previous month.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic drinks rose 0.2 percent in May and clothing and footwear prices increased 0.1 percent. However, transport charges declined 4.5 percent and utilities prices decreased 3.4 percent.
On a monthly basis, the HICP rose 0.6 percent in May, after the 0.7 percent increase in April.
