Lithuania’s producer prices continued to decline in October, preliminary figures from the Department of Statistics showed Tuesday.
The producer price index fell sharply by 11.7 percent year-over-year in October, but slower than the 12.5 percent decrease in the previous month.
The annual decline in October was largely caused by a 31.6 percent slump in prices of refined petroleum products.
Prices in the manufacturing sector plunged 10.8 percent in October and mining and quarrying prices slid by 9.6 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped at a slower pace of 0.9 percent in October, following a 1.7 percent fall in September. It was the fifth month of decline in a row.
