Lithuania’s retail sales growth eased for the third straight month in November, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Monday.

Retail sales, excluding VAT, climbed 5.3 percent year-over-year in November, slower than the 5.6 percent rise in October. In September, the rate of growth was 6.4 percent.

Excluding automotive fuel, retail sales advanced 4.1 percent in November from a year ago.

Sales of food, beverages and tobacco products grew 2.9 percent annually in November, while that for non-food products dipped by 4.4 percent. Retail sale of automotive fuel alone plunged by 9.4 percent.

On a monthly basis, retail sales declined 5.8 percent in November. Excluding automotive fuel, retail trade dropped by 4.8 percent.
