“Low Energy” Bush Will Huff And Puff At “High Energy” Trump

Erstwhile GOP presidential Jeb Bush is being hammering from the Campaign King, Donald Trump, and now he may try to fight back.

Monday, Mr. Bush toured the US border with Mexico in McAllen, TX, where he said Mr. Trump’s plan to deport all illegal immigrants “unrealistic.”

Mr. Trump’s plans, Mr. Bush said, are un-Republican.

Mr. Trump’s plans “are not ground in conservative principles,” Mr. Bush said, and would cost hundreds of billions of dollars. “It’s not realistic, it will not be implemented.”

Mass deportations will violate civil liberties and unnecessarily create friction with America’s largest trading partner, he added.

Donald Trump he said is “a serious candidate and ought to be held what serious candidates are held to. He needs to be held to accounted for his views.”

Mr. Trump has been saying Mr. Bush is a “nice person,” but too “low energy” to take on the task of righting a listing American ship.

Donald Trump continues lead in the polls, and has forced Mr. Bush into a corner. So now he will to try to dilute Mr. Trump’s right-wing support by proving that he is not a genuine conservative and to show a wary Republican Party that Mr. Bush is enough of a street fighter to survive a nasty nomination contest.

I call that hugging and puffing. And it tells me that the GOP establishment knows they are at extreme risk.

A top fundraiser for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential campaign met with rival Donald Trump Monday. The word on the street is that he is set to jump the Walker ship and has requested to jump on Donald Trump bandwagon.
