Luxembourg’s consumer prices increased for the fifth consecutive month in June, figures from the statistical office STATEC showed Wednesday.
The consumer price index index increased 0.68 percent year-over-year in June, virtually stable from May’s 0.65 percent rise. In April, prices had risen 0.26 percent.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 0.73 percent annually in June, that of miscellaneous goods and services rose 0.73 percent and utility costs moved up 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, transport costs and communication costs dipped by 0.12 percent and 1.47 percent, respectively.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose for the fifth straight month in June, rising 0.19 percent in June after May’s 0.42 percent increase.
