Luxembourg’s consumer price inflation eased for the second straight month in February, figures from the statistical office STATEC showed Wednesday.
The consumer price index edged up 0.2 percent year-over-year in February, slower than the 0.5 percent rise in the previous month. Prices have been rising since February 2015.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages grew 1.2 percent annually in February, while transport costs went down by 1.17 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 1.3 percent in February, in contrast to a 1.2 percent fall in January. It was the first increase in three months.
