After a short break from the biz (14 years!), Mia is over the moon to be back on the boards!
She recently completed her third season of Nickelodeon wickedly popular series, “Every Witch Way” playing Desdemona a good witch turned bad then good again. She can also be seen on “South Beach” now streaming on Hulu and as Dr. Ackerman in the feature film “Daddy”.

Past TV work includes a guest spot on “Spin City” a featured role on Spin City, starring role on Fox’s 13 Bourbon Street, and numerous guest appearances on popular programs such as Late Night with David Letterman and Conan O’ Brien. She also has starred in many television commercials including all the original Old Navy commercials.

A few of her New York theater credits include: Mizlansky/Zilinsky (in which she appeared opposite Nathan Lane, directed by Joe Mantello), Topper the Musical, and Henry IV Parts I, II performed for the New York Shakespeare Festival at The Public Theater. A sampling of Mia’s favorite regional roles include: Eva Peron in Evita, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes.

Staring Mia MatthewsRecently, Mia has performed leading roles in some of Florida’s finest professional theaters (cut South) She received raves for her performance in Island City Stage’s “The Little Dog Laughed”,Plaza Theatre’s “Chapter Two” and “The Sound of Music” at The Wick Theatre. She has performed in benefits for Palm Beach Dramaworks, Palm Beach Theater Guild, Palm Beach Follies Centennial Celebration and Foundcare’s A Votre Sante.

Showcasing her expansive vocal range and proficiency in performance, Mia’s one woman show, The Bombshell Show, celebrating Hollywood’s iconic singing stars of the Golden Age, premiered in Palm Beach this year as well as a duet review entitled Being Alive with Wayne LeGette featuring the songs of Stephen Sondheim, an award winning American composer and lyricist. She has also performed at The Kravis Center and Aventura Arts and Cultural Center.

As an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, she has served on several boards advocating the importance of the arts in education. She was one of Palm Beach Illustrated’s first “Muses” for the Women of Style and Substance, She was highlighted in The Palm Beacher’s Who’s Who in Charity and the Arts, was a 2009 Woman in Leadership Award nominee, and a proud graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, Class of 2008.
