SixtyFive, a premier Manhattan bar and cocktail lounge perched atop 30 Rockefeller Plaza on the 65th Floor, is proud to announce it has been named the tallest rooftop terrace bar and cocktail lounge in New York City, a distinction given by The Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

Standing at nearly 800 feet (240 meters) high, SixtyFive offers sweeping views of Manhattan’s stunning skyline from 65 stories above street level. Its wraparound terrace, open for the warmer months, allows guests to dine and drink outdoors on the 65th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza for the first time since the space was opened in 1934 in over 80 years.

Located steps from the iconic Rainbow Room, SixtyFive opened in September 2014 for weeknight cocktails and a refined small plates menu. Its cocktail list, created by Beverage Director Molly Cohen, celebrates the room’s storied history while also looking to its future, featuring a selection of classic and contemporary cocktails. A carefully selected wine selection offers old and new world varietals, as well as a diverse array of sparkling wine and champagne. Guests can also enjoy a variety of sake and spirits, including rare bottles like Macallan “M.” To complement the beverage program, Executive Chef Jonathan Wright offers an inventive menu of small plates, which range from sushi and sashimi to assorted snacks, appetizers, like Fried Chicken served with whipped smoked onion butter, smoked bacon waffles, and chipotle mustard maple syrup; and Crisp Parmesan Pizza with olive oil caviar, tomatoes and basil.

For the summer, SixtyFive has introduced “Gin & Jazz”, a new event series. Every Friday from 5-9 PM, guests can sip on a new menu of classic gin cocktails inspired by the Jazz Age, as well as a selection of global gins with a “choose your own” garnish option – all to the swinging sounds of a different jazz band every week. “Gin & Jazz” runs through July 31, 2015.

SixtyFive is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and is open Monday through Fridays from 5pm – Midnight. For more information, please visit http://www.sixtyfivenyc.com or call 212-632-5065.
