Twelve-months ahead inflation expectations in New Zealand increased in the third quarter, a quarterly survey published by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Tuesday.

Expectations for the next one-year rose to 1.46 percent from 1.32 percent in the second quarter, the report revealed. The survey was conducted by the Nielsen Company.

Inflation expectations in the next 24 months also climbed to 1.94 percent from 1.85 percent in the previous three months survey.

The indicator measuring perceptions of monetary conditions for the year ahead worsened further to -56.50 percent from -42.10 percent in the preceding quarter.

Meanwhile, inflation expectations for the next quarter declined to 0.31 percent from 0.41 percent in the second quarter, and the perceptions of monetary conditions indicator for the next quarter worsened to -62.90 percent from -42.10 percent.
