The services sector in New Zealand expanded again in June, and at a slightly faster rate, Business NZ said on Monday, with a Performance of Services Index score of 58.2.

That’s up slightly from the upwardly revised 58.1 in May (originally 58.0), and it moves further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

It also marks an 11-month high score for the index.

Among the individual components of the survey, stocks and inventories advanced, as did supplier deliveries. New orders and employment were down slightly, although still firmly in expansion territory.
