New Zealand will on Wednesday release unemployment figures for the first quarter of 2015, highlighting a busy day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
The jobless rate is expected to sink to 5.5 percent from 5.7 percent, while the participation rate is called steady at 69.4 percent.
China will see April results for the services and composite PMIs from HSBC; they were at 52.3 and 51.8 in March, respectively.
Hong Kong will see April numbers for the manufacturing PMI from HSBC; in March, the score was 49.6.
Australia will release retail sales data for March and Q1. Sales in March are expected to add 0.4 percent on month, down from 0.7 percent in February. Sales in Q1 are called higher by 0.8 percent, down from 1.5 percent in the three months prior.
Finally, the markets in Japan remain closed on holiday, and will return to action on Thursday.
