World leaders on Sunday welcomed the climate deal to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius with Prime Minister Narendra Modi terming the landmark climate change deal reached in Paris on Saturday as the victory of “climate justice”.

The agreement demonstrates the collective wisdom of world leaders as there are no winners or losers in the outcome, Modi said.

“Climate justice has won and we are all working towards a greener future,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

Sharing his sentiments in a series of tweets, the Prime Minister appreciated how every country rose to the challenge of reaching agreement at the Conference of Parties (COP-21) and said the deliberations showed the collective wisdom of world leaders to mitigate climate change.

The historic agreement signed by 195 countries makes developed countries commit $100 billion a year from 2020 to help developing nations.
