The New Zealand dollar retreated from early highs against most major currencies in New York deals on Wednesday.
The kiwi eased to 0.7666 against the greenback and 91.89 against the yen, from early 5-day high of 0.7736 and more than a 3-month high of 92.39, respectively.
The kiwi pared gains to 1.3983 against the euro, off its previous high of 1.3902.
