Update: Police have reportedly confirmed that Abdeslam was captured with a leg wound. A second man was also arrested.
On the heels of reports that Paris suspect Salah Abdeslam’s fingerprints were found during a raid on a Brussels apartment earlier this week and following media reports that he was likely one of two suspects who escaped when police closed in leaving one jihadist gunman dead, there are reports of an explosion and gunfire in Molenbeek, the Brussels suburb that – rightly or wrongly – has become synonymous with terror.

Mutliple reports now indicate that “the most wanted man alive” (well, other than Bakr al-Baghdadi) has been caught alive in Molenbeek. Two people were reportedly injured in the firefight. Police helicopters were seen overhead, grenades were reportedly used, and white smoke rose from the building as police closed in.
