Poland’s core inflation grew less-than-expected in November, data from the National Bank of Poland showed Wednesday.

The consumer price index, net of food and energy prices, increased 0.2 percent year-over-year after rising 0.3 percent in October. Economists had expected the index to match the October reading.

On a monthly basis, core consumer prices fell 0.1 percent in November reversing the 0.2 percent gain logged a month earlier. The consensus estimate called for the index to have remained unchanged.

Elsewhere, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed that average gross wages rose 1.3 percent on month in November, matching the October reading. Economists had expected an increase of 1.2 percent.

On year, gross wages improved 4.0 percent in November following a 3.3 percent rise in October. This exceeded expectations for 3.9 percent growth.

Data released by the statistical office on Tuesday showed that overall consumer prices fell 0.6 percent year-over-year in November following a 0.7 percent slump in October. Month-on-month, inflation turned negative to -0.1 percent in November, matching the flash reading.
