Poland’s unemployment rate dropped for the sixth straight month in August, in line with expectations, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed Wednesday.

The registered jobless rate fell marginally to 10.0 percent in August from 10.1 percent in July. The figure was also matched with consensus estimate.

In the corresponding month of the previous year, the unemployment rate was 11.7 percent.

The registered unemployed people decreased to 1.56 million in August from 1.58 million in the preceding month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 1.85 million.
