Poland’s unemployment rate dropped for the fifth straight month as expected in July, data from the Central Statistical Office showed Tuesday.

The registered jobless rate declined to 10.1 percent in July from 10.3 percent in June. The figure matched with economists’ expectations.

In the same month of the previous year, the unemployment rate was 11.8 percent.

The registered unemployed people decreased to 1.59 million in July from 1.62 million in the preceding month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 1.88 million.
