Polish manufacturing ended 2015 on a steady growth footing, according to a survey from Markit, released Monday.
The headline manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index held steady at 52.1 in December. The current upturn in the sector now extends to 15 months.
Manufacturing production expanded the most since July. Output was supported by growth of new orders and cuts to backlogs of work in December.
Further, Polish manufacturing employment increased for a survey-record twenty-ninth consecutive month in December.
Downward pressure on prices was maintained in the final month of 2015. Input prices fell for the fourth consecutive month and output prices dropped for the fifth month.
