Portugal’s industrial turnover climbed for the third straight month in May, though at a slower pace than in the prior month, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Wednesday.

Turnover index in industry rose at a slower pace of 0.4 percent year-over-year in May, following a 4.6 percent sharp increase in April.

The index for the export market grew 4.8 percent annually in May, while domestic market sales dipped by 3.0 percent.

Month-on-month, industrial turnover increased 0.5 percent in May, in contrast to a 2.2 percent drop in the preceding month.
