Portugal’s producer prices decreased at a faster pace in May, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Friday.
The producer price index fell 4.7 percent year-over-year in May, which was worse than the 4.3 percent decline in the previous month.
Excluding the energy group, producer prices slid 1.3 percent annually in May, following a 1.5 percent fall in April.
On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.2 percent in May, in contrast to a 0.3 percent drop in the preceding month. It was the first increase in three months.
