Portugal’s producer prices declined at a stable pace in April, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Tuesday.
The producer price index slid 2.4 percent year-over-year in April, the same rate of decrease as in the previous month. In February, prices had fallen 3.4 percent.
Prices in the manufacturing sector decreased 3.2 percent in April from a year ago, while prices in the utility sector grew by 2.6 percent.
Month-on-month, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent in April, following a 0.8 percent climb in March. It was the third month of increase in a row.
