Portugal’s producer prices continued to decline in November, though at a slower pace than in the previous month, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Friday.
The producer price index slipped 3.3 percent year-over-year in November, following a 3.8 percent drop in October. In September, prices had fallen 4.1 percent.
The annual decline in November was largely caused by a 11.6 percent slump in energy prices. Excluding energy, producer prices edged down 0.1 percent in November from a year ago.
On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.2 percent in November, slower than the 0.4 percent fall in the preceding month. It was the sixth consecutive monthly decrease.
