Following the release of U.K. CIPS/Markit services PMI for January at 4:30 am ET Wednesday, the pound advanced against the other major currencies.
The pound was trading at 1.4436 against the greenback, 172.92 against the yen, 0.7552 against the euro and 1.4704 against the franc around 4:31 am ET.
