At 4:30 am ET Wednesday, the Office for National Statistics released U.K. unemployment data.
After the data, the pound rose further against its major rivals.
As of 4:31 am ET, the pound was trading at 0.7902 against the euro, 1.3712 against the Swiss franc, 1.4191 against the U.S. dollar and 150.94 against the yen.
