Asian stocks declined as a tinge of concern rises again after last week’s gain after the Brexit vote. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index slipped 0.4% after ending its longest rally within a month while Japan’s Topix index edged down 0.6% amid yen gains. Korea’s Kospi index in Seoul was down 0.3%. Technology assets and banks pulled down the S&P/ASX 200 Index in Australia by 0.4%. On the other hand, New Zealand’s S&P/NZX 50 Index climbed 0.4%. S&P 500 Index futures slipped 0.1% from Friday. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined at least 0.4%.
The yen rose 0.2% to 102.36 yen per dollar after retreating by less than 0.1% on Monday. The Aussie descended 0.2% to 75.20 U.S. cents, while New Zealand’s Kiwi slid down.
