The British pound rallied against its major counterparts Tuesday, following figures showed the UK economy grew more than projected in the 4th quarter.
According to the Office for National Statistics, the gross domestic product in the United Kingdom grew 0.6%, unchanged from the 3rd quarter.
Sterling climbed to €0.7260 from €0.7321, and $1.4791 from $1.4754. The pound also rose to ¥177.72 from ¥177.18, and 1.4403 Swiss franc from 1.4296 Swiss franc.
