The Canadian dollar declined versus the US dollar on Thursday, as the latter rebounded and oil prices slumped.
US crude fell 60 cents at $60.82 a barrel, while Brent crude oil for July lost 51 cents at $65.19 a barrel.
The loonie traded at 81.32 US cents from Wednesday’s 81.55 US cents.
In Canada, industrial capacity slid 82.7% in the 1st quarter, from 83.5% in the previous quarter. New home prices inched up 0.1% in April.
