The euro firmed Thursday as Greece passed a second set of reforms, getting closer to renewing negotiations with lenders to obtain a third bailout.

With 230-63 votes, the Greek parliament approved the reforms demanded by creditors.

The common currency closed at $1.0951, £0.7011, and ¥135.83.

Although he experienced some rebellion from his own party, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras still managed to have the bill approved due to the support of main opposition parties.
