The Federal Communications Commission pushed back by two weeks their informal deadline for completing the review of Charter Communications Inc.’s acquisition of Time Warner Cable Inc.

Officials still need more time to evaluate recent filing on the agreement’s potential impact to the disbursement of Time Warner Cable’s regional sports networks and Charter’s pricing and packaging methods, according to FCC.

The agency said the review, to resume January 20, will contribute to a more efficient examination of the planned transaction.
