Up to 800 jobs will be removed from German airline Lufthansa’s cargo division, 500 of them will happen in Germany, the company announced on Friday amidst lower air freight demand. Lufthansa employs around 4,600 people around the world.

Cutting 700 to 800 positions will save the company $90 million a year. Revenue from its cargo division is expected to fall this year from last year’s $83 million. It has already parked two MD-11 jet due to lower demand.
