Mitsubishi Motors Corp. is expected to announce net losses for the current fiscal year due to its mileage cheating issue. The compensation paid to owners of certain models that had manipulated fuel economy tests and the decline in local vehicle sales is anticipated to impact the firm’s bottom line, according to a report by the Kyodo News Agency.

The automaker has agreed to pay almost $1,000 or a total reimbursement of $600 million dollars as compensation for falsifying mileage data. Mitsubishi Motors has declined to comment on the report.
