Norway’s central bank Governor Oeystein Olsen told Reuters on Sunday that he will seek a second term.
In an emailed statement, Olsen said he is motivated to continue as the governor of the central bank, and that he will apply for a second term. Olsen has been the governor since January 2011. His 6-year term can be renewed once.
Norway advertised for the job of chief of the central bank in the Sunday edition of the daily Aftenposten and on a website for Norwegian state job positions.
