The Swiss franc escalated versus most major currencies on Wednesday.
The currency traded at 0.9560 per US dollar and 1.4236 per British pound. Against the Japanese yen, it closed at ¥125.10.
In other currencies, the Australian dollar ended at 71.80 euro cents and 77.08 US cents.
