The Nationwide Building Society said the house-price growth in the U.K. rose in October to the fastest in 6 months. The lender said prices rose 0.6 percent from the last month, when they jumped 0.5%. The annual rate of growth accelerated to 3.9 percent from 3.8 percent, and the average value was 196,807 pounds ($300,200).
