Highlights of the G20 communique
– Makes no mention of rejection of protectionism
– Omits reference to climate change financing
– Omits commitment to keep trade open, free or rules based
Copies of the final statement are doing the rounds. There was talk earlier in the week that the FX references would be removed, but they’re all there. Instead, the language on trade has been cut, watered down and reworked.
