Torrential rains and highly unusual flooding hit South Carolina this week, with some parts of the state receiving over 24 inches of water. Flooding has killed at least 17 people and left thousands without power and water. The American Red Cross is currently on the ground in affected areas setting up shelters and providing immediate relief through supplies, technical assistance and other support to those in need.
