Romania’s consumer prices continued to decline in June, though at a slower pace than in the previous month, figures from the National Institute of Statistics showed Monday.
The consumer price index dropped 0.7 percent year-over-year in June, much slower than the 3.5 percent decrease in May. Prices have been falling since June 2015.
Prices of non-food products fell 1.2 percent annually in June costs for services went down by 0.7 percent. At the same time, grocery prices registered a mere increase of 0.03 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down 0.2 percent in June.
